Docteur \u00e8s Lettres de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Sorbonne, Directeur de recherche \u00e9m\u00e9rite au CNRS, elle est sp\u00e9cialiste d\u2019histoire m\u00e9di\u00e9vale dans la p\u00e9ninsule ib\u00e9rique. Elle est membre de nombreuses acad\u00e9mies et soci\u00e9t\u00e9s savantes en France, en Espagne, au Portugal et en Am\u00e9rique latine.
